This product is much better than I expected. The six inch size makes it easily readable from the driver's position and it is visible in direct sunlight. I am planning to buy another one as a birthday gift to my son.
A little more difficult to work with than an older model. Didn't need cellphone for traffic on the old one. Traffic model on old one was module on power cord. Could not find address for my son's new house in Lithia, FL as it was mis-spelled by Tom Tom. Older model worked better.
operating instructions are the worst I have ever encountered. I just bought it for fun as I have nav systems in all 3 vehicles. just some simple things are all I need. I put it back in the box and it now resides in the right floorboard of my F 250.
I think my older GPS was a LOT better before it quit on me. My old unit would say "in NN miles turn L/R onto (street name). If I missed the street I would hear "recalculating" then it would announce the new directions. On the freeway it would tell me the exit number. This unit gives measurements in yards, turn L/R but no street name (I have to look at the display), on the freeway it gives yards before the exit - no exit number. If I didn't need a GPS ASAP I'd return this unit and look for something more like my old system which wasnt available.
